The island opens at the top of your screen and starts recording. Its wave follows the voices:teal while you speak, violet while the others do.
Read along as you talk
Live captions scroll in the island, so you can check a name or a number without asking again. Hide the island and the recording keeps going in the menu bar; ⌥R brings it back.
Stop, and get the full transcript
When you stop, Whisper large-v3 transcribes the whole recording again and labels the speakers, so every line says who said it.
Both sides of the call, no bot in it.
Notlo records your microphone and your Mac's sound at the same time. Your voice comes from the mic, everyone else from the call app's audio, so the transcript keeps you apart from them. Nobody gets an invite from a note-taker.

Questions
Does Notlo upload my audio or transcripts?
No. Whisper large-v3 runs on your Mac, and the audio and the transcript stay in files on it. Notlo has no account and no server that receives them.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Notlo downloads its speech models once, the first time you use it. After that it records, captions and transcribes with Wi-Fi off.
Which call apps does it work with?
Any app that plays the call through your Mac: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, Slack huddles or a video in the browser. Notlo records your Mac's sound, so nothing joins the meeting.
Do I need to tell people I'm recording?
Usually, yes. Many places require everyone's consent to record a call. Check the rules where you and the others are, and say at the start that you are taking notes.
Which languages does it understand?
English by default. Pick one of 18 languages, or let Notlo detect the language of each recording.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. An iPhone app is coming later.
