Notlo is built so that your calls stay yours. It records, captions and transcribes on your Mac, and it has no account and no server of ours that receives your audio or your words.

What the app records

• Your microphone, only while you record.
• Your Mac's sound, the other people in your call, only while you record. macOS asks you to allow both.
• Audio and video files you drop on Notlo or open with it.

Where it is kept

Recordings and transcripts are saved in Notlo's folder in your Mac's Application Support folder, and wherever you export or copy them. They stay there until you delete them in the Library.

What goes over the network

The first time you use it, Notlo downloads its speech models (Whisper large-v3 through WhisperKit, and a model that tells speakers apart) from the public model library that hosts them. That download sends nothing about you or your recordings. After it, Notlo works offline.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare Pages, which handles the requests your browser makes to load it.
